    Stopped in the street.............

Oh I used to love Lentheric Tramp as a teenager. Managed to get a bottle a few years ago and it just wasn't the same. I guess our tastes change with advancing years I worked in Boots when I left school and was frequently given samples of new perfumes. One of these was Cachet by Cacharel, it was...

    Stopped in the street.............

According to Google the blue one was Imprévu, packaging looks familiar but not the name. Heaven Scent was Helena Rubenstein. I used to love Revlon Intimate until I was told that Indians used it to lay out their dead, not sure about that.

    Stopped in the street.............

Oh is it really? I didn't know that. My Mum used to wear it and I just like the smell. She used to use another Coty fragrance with a blue label but its name escapes me. Oh and she loved Lentheric Tweed, awful smell I always thought.

Youngest daughter had a swollen neck about 18 years ago and a lump was found on her thyroid. She had a camera thingy up her nose and down her throat without anaesthetic. Luckily it wasn't malignant but as she was just about to enter university she opted to have half of her thyroid removed rather...

I ordered a watch from Amazon for Mr T and didn't notice that it would take 4-6 weeks to get here. 12 weeks later it arrived after I had already bought him a replacement assuming the original order was lost and had a refund. Amazon were brilliant, insisting that we keep them both with no extra...

After the last one that I had where I had a trainee mauling me about and felt that she was going to pop my boob where she clamped me in so tight I am in no hurry to get back there. The first one I had was actually the day after my 50th birthday, nurse was wrong there, and it was carried out by 2...

    Your crisp, white shirt

Do you wear a smokey eye and make sure that you have a pop of colour on your lip? Singular I might add.

I know people knock Amazon for various reasons but I have found their delivery service second to none. Ordered joint tablets for our nearly 16 year old dog on Friday, due to be delivered Monday. Alexa informed me that they were on their way yesterday between 12 and 4. Actually arrived 11.55...

    Stopped in the street.............

Oh I have been asked what perfume I was wearing but it was by a used car salesman so I am assuming he was just after a sale as it was only L'aimant 😄

Thanks for the heads up... but I have a fair few years to go until I reach that landmark birthday😂. I am expecting the backlog to be cleared by then - or will it 🤔

    Today I got rid of.......

Oh yes I am the same. Have kept ivory coat and top that I wore to daughters wedding nearly 13 years ago even though I have lost 3 stone since then an they don't fit anymore. I still have the hat and fascinator (sp) that I changed into for the evening as well although I think that they will still...

Social Media - That was an eyeopener

If the item was bought with a gift card any refund would be made with a gift card the same as High Street retailers.

Well Money Expert Martin Lewis reckons that you shouldn't give gift cards this year as everything is so uncertain. If the company goes bust then the recipient just has to join the long line of creditors. Unless they are for Selfridges he says no. I am not suggesting that QVC is about to go bust...

I noticed that she is 49 but I was quite sure that you don't get "invited" for a screening until you are 50. In fact our surgery nurse warned me that it could be up to a year later than that. Mind you, if it brings more women go for it I am all for it.

I don't watch whole hours, tend to dip in whilst channel hopping but I did catch Craig doing the bedside table and vintage suitcases. I like the suitcases but they are too pricey for me. I couldn't warrant spending that on something just to dress/clutter up an area. My Nan would call them dust...

Our Dad died when he was just 35, leukaemia. My brother was 11 and I was 8. Our Mum had a widowed mothers pension and a cleaning job. We didn't have a TV, car or telephone. I think that is why I am able to budget and be grateful for what we have. We too own our house mortgage free and it is a...

Mr T had a parka with a detachable fur trim that he didn't like so gave it to eldest grandson to play with. He promptly wore it around his head Rambo style 😂 Then it snowed and his Dad made a snowman and used it as a scarf but Joshy wouldn't move from watching it through the window in case...

Our youngest daughter is a manager at a Sure Start hub and her husband is in education at the local prison so have both worked throughout lockdown. One of their neighbours is a nurse and has held barbecues throughout the summer. Even having her elderly mother attend to celebrate a birthday...
