    Is bid.tv a charity?

I do like Peter Simon, thought. I find him quite entertaining. He seems to be old before his time, what with his arthritis, tinnitus and dodgy eyesight.

    Paul Brodel is back

I see Paul's back. Last I heard he was out cruising with his parents. I wonder if he came across any nice seaman?

    Is bid.tv a charity?

Peter Simon is such a naughty boy. He says "we paid a lot more than that" for just about every other piece of tat he flogs. No wonder calls to bid.tv and their delivery charges are so expensive!

    P&P Moan

The clock begins ticking when you receive the goods, so you have fourteen days from delivery to return them for a refund. Also, a lot of people don't realise that they can get the cost of delivery refunded if they return the goods within seven days. See...

    Halogen oven popcorn

Sorted, after a bit of trial and error. I was initially using the non-stick metal tin that came with the halogen oven. I think that was my mistake. Anyway, here's my solution: pre-head halogen oven to 220c. Place some popping corn in a small non-stick baking tin, and blast it for 6 minutes...

todays listings for idw what a boring days viewing

More men watch on Sunday, so they try to flog 'em DIY and gardening stuff. :muscle: But what are you complaining about? Sunday's Pick Of The Day is aimed at women: it's a steam cleaner. :smirk:

    Paul Brodel

Dunno, but Paul is a naughty bunny. Has anyone else noticed the amount of double entendre he sometimes speaks? An off-screen bet, I suspect, to see how many sexual references he can slip in without anyone noticing.

    Halogen oven popcorn

Any tips for creating popcorn in a halogen oven? All my attempts have ended up as a nasty burnt mess.

    Savings not what they seem?

I've just seen one of bid.tv's promos in which they claim to have sold 8.5 million items during the past year, saving their customers £24million. Fair enough. However that's a saving of less than £3 per item, which is probably easily covered by their extortionate phone number and delivery...

    Ideal World deliveries

I ordered one of those Halogen Oven thingies from Ideal World on Sunday evening. Initially their website estimated it would be delivered on 25th January 2011!!! Surprise, surprise, it arrived this afternoon. It's baking potatoes for me as I type. Ideal World's website is still estimating...

    Pig of the Year

I think it's against the law, or Ideal World policy , to flog more than one item an hour.

    Pig of the Year

It appears that virtually everything Ideal World sells is a Pick Of The Year. Today's schedule, for example: 12:00 AM Dormeo Pick of the Year 01:00 AM Snore Wizard Pick of the Year 02:00 AM Bamix Pick of the Year 04:00 AM Bamix Pick of the Year 05:00 AM Dormeo Pick of the Year 06:00 AM...

Whenever they mention her Scar Face range a shiver goes down my spine: I picture evil London villains wielding knives.

    Tom tom Andy Love's demo!

Definitely not a simulator. The car he's in could be on a low trailer being pulled by another vehicle. That's how this type of thing is often done.
