I'd rather take my chances. My current washing machine didn't break down at all in the first 5 years. And anyway, I've got a great litle local repairman who doesn't charge a fortune and usually comes out the same day - he could do quite a few repairs for £180!

I prefer the Nails Inc Caviar topcoat too - still only lasts 2-3 days, but I do a lot of heavy gardening on my allotment, so that's no surprise - the Seche Vite chips even sooner and doesn't dry any quicker than the Nails Inc one.

I've just "discovered" quidco and am now using it when I make purchases from QVC. However, I have one small problem and I don't know if anyone on here has come across it and knows the answer - I can access it just fine on our PC, but have problems on my laptop - whenever I try to link to QVC...

Wow! Thankyou, Jabbathehut - the epilator arrived this morning - I used it this afternoon and it's ACE. It's miles better than the little Emjoi one - much faster, more efficient, and the ice thingie is lovely and soothing. Your advice was spot-on. And many thanks also to Honey bunny - thanks...

That's exactly what I meant, Mia - I said it had to be in a saleable condition - items such as those you describe obviously are not in a saleable condition. I wouldn't mind a skirt that had been tried on, or a pair of shoes, but not a razor or an electric toothbrush!

To tell the truth, I don't have a problem with returned items being sent out again IF they are in a saleable condition. If you go to any high street shop and return an item, it'll go out on sale again (as long as you haven't returned it because it's faulty). And any clothes, shoes etc you buy...

I bought this little Emjoi epilator when it was a TSV and it's great but I find it takes quite a while now I'm using it on my legs so I'm thinking of upgrading. I've seen this one, which looks like it might be better but I'm not sure if it's worth paying so much - would it make that much...

Tell them it's faulty and you should get your P&P refunded too.

I saw this demo'd the other day and like the look of it. I currently use Bare Escentuals foundation in Fairly Light - does anyone know whether I'll be OK with the standard B&B, or should I go for the Fair B&B?

I heard about problems like this a couple of years ago so now I always check my account after I've ordered online. Not very impressive, though, is it?
