Meet Captain Jack Sparrow et al.

I totally agree jacqualina. I wouldn't have even been thinking twice about keeping it, if it had been set into 14k or even better 18k gold.

Meet Captain Jack Sparrow et al.

Thank you all for your thoughts. I don't think I can bear to part with the pink sapphire pendant. If I let it go, I'd probably be chasing the mail man all the way back to Gems Towers. :giggle: I have just one pair of Demented Garnet earrings to come tomorrow, and then I'll be joining you on...

Meet Captain Jack Sparrow et al.

Oops, sorry wrong photo! :giggle: Well, I wish it were the real deal, but this is Captain Jack Sparrow of the gem world! He’s devilishly handsome, very colourful and a little bit rough!:tongue2: P.S. I’m going for counselling soon I promise! :taphead...

    Oh, poo!

Good advice gemcherub. The colour grading is excellent and I did get the 10% discount - see I'm talking myself into it! I have a great idea;:thinking2: I'll stop watching Gems and start watching TJC! :clapping:
  5. Oops-a-daisy!

    Oh, poo!

I feel your pain Miss M! It's all swings and roundabouts; sometimes I've bought for a lot less, other times I wish I'd waited until the price had dropped. I have a similar dilemma at the moment. I bought one of those 'Shades of Nature' pendants and although I love it, it is a lot of money...

    Fancy Sapphire Bracelet

It's a lovely bracelet pandabear and a steal of a deal. Hope you love it when you get it home. I don't know if it's still on the web now, but there is a matching ring to this bracelet!

    Shades of Tsavorite delivery

Suzy, maybe this will help. As I understand it, it's influenced by the different colour of light sources; daylight contains blue light while incadescent light has a red tone. What causes the colour change? Alexandrite is a trichroic gemstone which may absorb and reflect light differently in...

Presenters Redundant following Live Channel Closure

I feel sorry for all those affected by this redundancy and hope that they'll be able to secure new jobs very soon. Let's hope Gems can keep going during these turbulent times, so that no more jobs are lost.

    Shades of Tsavorite delivery

If your Alexandrite ring is talking to you, then you must keep it. Ahem ...however I must advise that you stop the medication now! :giggle: I can't talk, I was asking my cat a question this morning. I'd have been really shocked if he had replied! I think your Alex is lovely. I personally...

    Hi...I'm new to this

Hi gemsgems and welcome! Your ring does sound like a good price. Do you have the link as someone may have already bought one and can tell you more? I received 3 pink diamond pieces yesterday. Two are very pretty - very sparkly and a nice pink colour. The third, a pair of earrings look more...

    I just don't get it!

pmsl :giggle: I never even thought that when I wrote it! lol I bet PPC would be up for it!

My ultra mega meltdown clearance booty!

Awwww bless Sweetpea. Better to have one stud than 2 diamond studs! :lolwave: I'm sure you'll find a smashing pair of ice zircons sometime soon. Obviously these weren't meant for you, but just keep looking and I'm sure the perfect pair will appear.
  13. Oops-a-daisy!

    I just don't get it!

That's a great idea Argey.:cool2: We could set up a company called 'Rent-My-Jewels.com'! We wouldn't have to buy any more bling, we could just pass it around!
  14. Oops-a-daisy!

    Todays keeper, zircon earrings.

Glad you found some zircons that perform. The earrings suit you Suzy and I'm sure you'll get a lot of wear out of them. The carat weight looks big too. I think I have a pair of ice Zircon earrings somewhere I bought a year or so ago. I don't think they have any sparkle at all. At the time...

My ultra mega meltdown clearance booty!

All your keepers look great on you Sweetpea - very unusual and eye catching. You're going to get loads of compliments when you wear them I think. It's too bad your ice zircon earrings have no sparkle. Will you try for another pair?
  16. Oops-a-daisy!

    I just don't get it!

Or ... you can have mine if you fancy some earrings! I can always find something else to buy!:wink2: Yes I paid £198 as well.

    I just don't get it!

I really don't think it's worth phoning Fluff as I think sweetpea is right in that the people in CS don't have the authority to take a bit of initiative. I'll keep a lookout just in case another appears. I could just wear one earring I suppose and start a new trend.
  18. Oops-a-daisy!

    I just don't get it!

I'm not really too miffed but ... I bought a pink diamond heart pendant which arrived yesterday with a few other items. I decided I didn't care for it as a pendant, but could adapt it to make a lovely pair of earrings. I sent an email to CS asking if I could buy another one. The good news...

    Feel like i'm home!

Hi Briolette Your Amethyst ring looks lovely. I do like the split shank and it's going to be noticed a lot looking at the huge carat weight - wow! I bought a Zambian Amethyst pendant but it was in a 'pineapple' cut which didn't do it any favours tbh. I should have gone for one like yours...

    Another beautiful design

It's a world apart from regular pink tourmaline, but that's just my opinion of course and I'm no expert to say the least! I bought a pink Tourmaline Wobito snowflake (which is a lilac pink) and the Cuprian almost matches it in colour. Very similar to Patroke but without the worry of fading.
