    Classic Bid-up.tv

The channel used to be genuinely funny. Here's a great clip from the golden-era with Jenny: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MIfoTYaEmSw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Wonder whatever happened to her?

Why do I never learn my lesson not to buy from Bid again?

I've read mostly negative reviews on all of Bid's own brands - they seem to be of the lowest possible quality. I'd stay well away from Gener8, Your Kitchen, Love Life, Tommy & Kate etc.

    Free P+P Today & £10 voucher

To be fair, it was 64 piece set (so 4 of the £1 16pc sets) - before that would have cost you around £40 to get 64 pcs, so £8.40 all in is a BIG saving on the usual price they do it. I've seen a few of the products they usually do at a £1 (plus p&p) go for between £2.99-5.00. So i'd still say...

    Free P+P Today & £10 voucher

If i wasn't skint I would actually buy from Bid today. Some decent prices and good products! Great to see Bid doing this.

    Free P+P Today & £10 voucher

Guy Kean is generally useless at presenting. I would imagine that they might be trying out different selling models - the whole £7.99 and £1.50 call seems to have run its course, with pretty much everyone criticising it and many of the presenters now mentioning it - especially as they've moved...

    Free P+P Today & £10 voucher

Yonanan's going at the standard price of £39.99. Items going at good to very-good prices. Can't believe I'm about to type this: Well done Bid!

    24 Roses offer for £6.99

And this is the damage that Bid have done to themselves - even when we see what appears to be a good buy people are skeptical to go for it because of Bid's reputation!

Has anyone checked out Bid TV's facebook page?

Yeah, they seem to have removed the feature for people to just post messages on the page- presumably because they were all negative. Some of them were really quite concerning: complaints over never receiving refunds, never receiving items, being signed up to clubs and offers which they didn't...

Has anyone checked out Bid TV's facebook page?

I was going to post about this the other day! The page consists of post after post of negative comments about Bid - with many focusing on delivery, customer service and the quality of the products. I thought we were a niche group, but it turns out that nearly everyone is dissapointed with the...

    Parrot Presenters

Guy is definitely the worse for doing this, he says the number about every 15 seconds - mostly because he rarely says anything about the actual products. Peter Simon used to describe the number as "The most famous number in Television" - I guess in the same way that every...

    Peter Simon

I increasingly get the impression that some of the assistants and guests refuse to work with him. The way he touches them, forgets their names, and tries to pull them in for hugs etc is very awkward. You can sometimes see the girls physically cringe and edge away from him - there was a large...

    The diamond in the rough

Agree he's one of the best - he lays off the hard sell and is much more honest than all the other lot. He's also entertaining to watch and doesn't SHOUT at the camera. It's something like that - he's 'left' the channel officially but does a few hours a week for them.

    Peter Simon

I'm torn between how I feel about Peter - I used to be quite a big fan and as £1 Megadrop says a few years ago he really was genuinely entertaining to watch. Even now when he's having a good night he can still be one of the best on shopping TV. And It's nice to see that he does get support from...

Lies, damn lies, and sit-up tv

Well done Radio-dayz - I'm used to just the presenters lying about the products, but to now be lying in the on screen graphics as well is just outrageous. How shady is this channel??

    Classic Peter Simon howler!

He also just said that the Yarvick, which is now into it's very last stock and shouldn't be in clearance (it'll be on a few more times today and is selling at the same price it always has...) was an Ipad... It's not just us lot on this forum is it? Surely everyone watching must find the whole...

    Has "Chef" Wayne been fired?

I haven't seen him for a good few weeks - maybe Bid decided that having a "Chef" who seemed to burn and produce the worse looking food ever was not productive for sales? Which is a shame because he was great fun to watch!

    Oh dear, Peter

I was just watching and wondering the exact same thing. He's SHAMBOLIC tonight, all over the place - definitely been drinking something.

Pampering Day with free P+P - Well Guess What?

To be fair to Andy, they have before posted them with free P&P - they are emailing them now to avoid Xmas delays etc so no problems there. I do think you have to be realistic about what you're going to get for £20. Considering how many of these they've sold and how cheap they are, I would...

How much longer can these channels last?

A genuine question over whether Sit-Up's channels can continue to last in the future. They more and more remind me of the final few days of Auction World - it seems only a matter of time before they finally step over the line and someone takes action. Here's why I don't think Sit Up channels can...

    Peter Simon is a weatherman

Peter was a lot perkier last night and I actually watched for quite a bit - he's SO much better when he doesn't have to do hour after hour of jewellery.
