    Random musings and general banter.

It seems Superstar Peter had overtaken the channel - all of the regulars seem to have been replaced with him. He's on all the time!

    Random musings and general banter.

While selling the toys Peter kept going on about his grandkids would love them. Are we seriously suppose to believe he has grandchildren?

Ideal World completes transformation into Bid TV

The guests seem VISIBLY annoyed that they can't get a word in with him. Still, it would appear Ideal has taken him on permanently - he's been all over the channel over the past few days. Forgive him at 'ome!

Ideal World completes transformation into Bid TV

Ha - they'e already started using the dodgy 'sentimental' backing music when selling the Kinkades. Cringe.

Ideal World completes transformation into Bid TV

Ha - Peter Simon is on in his Tux. All the usual BS. SO glad it's back :D

Ideal World completes transformation into Bid TV

So I think it's fair to say that Bid has now been fully resurrected as Ideal World... Right now Peter Simon is with Chris Birkett selling a low cost no-branded vacuum cleaner. High cost p&p. Peter Simon is making jokes about its 'big tubes' and his massive suction - cue side ways looks to the...

Lodge Farm Kitchen - Ridiculously Expensive

My thoughts exactly. At £8.50 a go, you might as well go out and grab something to eat or get a take-away. Or you could get just a ready meal from a supermarket - even a premium one from M&S or Waitrose would be half the price!

Lodge Farm Kitchen - Ridiculously Expensive

Haha - yes I just noticed we published at the exact same time. Clearly both shocked at what was actually on screen! I know QVC food is always expensive, but I think this is the most ludicrous I've seen!

Lodge Farm Kitchen - Ridiculously Expensive

I can't believe the prices on the screen at the moment. 4 small ready meals for £35!? http://www.qvcuk.com/Lodge-Farm-Kitchen-4-Hand-Made-Taste-of-the-World-Meals.product.803785.html?sc=SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-3-_-803785 That's a ridiculous price. It works out at £8.75 for a ready meal...

    Getting to know Peter Simon

I think we can all safely presume that nearly everything Peter Simon has ever said isn't true... He was up to his old tricks last night. Feigning shock at the price, gasping - 'I can't believe it's this low. There must be a mistake?!', lying about the brand (at one point the guest actually had...

    Blue magic is it 2019?

Never trust the cleaning demos - the fact is if you pour anything on carpet and then immediately put some soapy water on it and clean it the vast majority will come out. I saw a Bissel demo badly backfire on Ideal World once when the presenter decided to see if she could get the stains off...

    Overweight Presenters

Does anyone find it slightly odd that Ideal World has so many overweight presenters? It seems by far that more presenters and guests are overweight then compared to any other shopping channel. The only reason I bring this up is because of the number of health and fitness products they sell. In...

Peter Simon.... Bids loss and Gems gain? you decide

Presumably the likes of him and Mike Mason are able to shift stock (despite their behaviour). It's surely the only reason why other shopping channels would have taken them on so quickly.

    Brash TV

Yes, I also thought it was odd that they didn't really demo the products. I'm not sure they can expect to sell much of a product by literally just showing it. Surely the point of shopping TV is that you have the ability to actually show a product being used live?

    Brash TV

...Apparently Sherlock will also be joining the channel in early June. "GREAT NEWS! Peter Sherlock will be joining our presenting team from early June. Watch this space for a great range of beauty and fragrance products coming soon to The Outlet Channel!"

    Brash TV

I wish her and the channel all the best - but MY GOD it looks like the lowest budget shopping shopping channel I've ever seen. It looks like it's been filmed in someone's living room - tiny and squeezed in the corner. The camera quality isn't great (and they seem to have just one main fixed...

    I hear........

    He's 67 - so I'd be surprised if he didn't qualify.

    Who next?

Peter Sherlock will also be appearing on German shopping channel 123.tv as their beauty expert - he's announced on Facebook. (he must speak German?).

    I hear........

Does anyone else find it a little odd that Peter is still working? He's old enough now to claim the state pension and, even though I have no idea of his financial situation, he's been the top seller on a large shopping channel for the past 10 years so I wouldn't imagine he's that desperate for...

Mike Mason joins Ideal World TV

No idea why Ideal World would want to hire him - it's not like they're running out of presenters! He's toxic - had made his 'career' ripping off the public either on those dodgy quiz shows or by being misleading on Bid TV. It seems like such a strange decision.
