'Disney Couture' - Give me strength!

http://www.thejewellerychannel.tv/popups/viewdetail.aspx?StockCode=944615 Enamelled ears? On a (fake) pearl necklace? For heavens' sake!

    Very impressed with these earrings

These earrings, when I put them in my basket, were very much an afterthought: http://gems.tv/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?c=UKRJ84 At £24.99 on air I really wasn't expecting much, so I was surprised at just how excellent they are. The tourmalines are very well matched with every one of them...

    Miche bags

Tasi, take a look at the 'Miche Big Bag' on www.michebag.co.uk. It's a different style of bag, but it might be just what you want.

    What's the point of that?

I thought these birthstone necklace and earring kits looked really nice: http://www.jewellerymaker.com/searchKits.aspx#Product=YNVU04 ...UNTIL I realised that the gemstone beads were already joined together in a chain, and all you have to do is attach the clasp and the earring fittings! C'mon...

    Amercian Host on GemsTV Extra

I saw her briefly, and I liked her too. I hope she'll be here to stay!

What to expect from welo opal

It shouldn't be like that, Roxy - it should be translucent with bright play-of-colour throughout. Some Welo opals do have black marks, but most don't (and sometimes the marks actually rub off). So, if you like the design, it's definitely worth getting a replacement. Welo opals are, however...

    Marcasite settings?

I'm a dedicated marcaiste lover and have loads of it! The best marcasite is claw-set, and that Gems TV used to sell claw-set marcasite in the 'old days', but not any longer. Having said that, most marcasite in the market is stuck in with glue, so Gems are not unusual in that. There is always a...

Anyone having probs with the website

Just had a look, and I'm seeing the same thing - obviously a problem their end. You could try e-mailing the studio to let them know, in case they're not aware of it.

    Seriously fed up!

I'm sure it WAS an oversight - I spoke to CS, and the items have been despatched; whoever packed the order just didn't notice there was more than 1 in the quantity column (as most people don't order more than one). I made a bit of a fuss about it, in the hope that it won't happen again!

Loosing money and selling at a loss!

I'm prepared to accept that they occasionally sell at a loss, either to shift stock that isn't selling or as a 'loss leader' - something which most retailers do. What I do NOT believe is all this codswallop about hoping the boss isn't watching in case the presenter gets the sack, taking the...

    Seriously fed up!

I'm a regular customer of Rocks & Co, and when I order gemstone jewellery from any channel I often order 3 of the same item, bearing in mind the natural variation of gemstones, so I can then choose the one which has the best colour, clarity, etc. So I recently ordered some Welo opal earrings...

What good is a pair of earrings without butterflies???

P.S. On the front page of the Forum, this thread is appearing as "What good is a pair of..." Given some of the previous threads that have appeared on here, I honestly thought that this was about something else entirely!!! (I'm now expecting Argey to appear with a suitable - or more likely an...

What good is a pair of earrings without butterflies???

Meanwhile, you can always 'borrow' the butterflies from another pair of your earrings. (I'm always swapping butterflies around.)

Calling all Ethiopian Welo opal lovers!

I do think this necklace is great value - £300 may be a lot of money, but £15 per opal is not!

Calling all Ethiopian Welo opal lovers!

Just received this amazing necklace: http://www.thejewellerychannel.tv/ProductDetail.aspx?StockCode=874633&ISFPC=true I can't pretend the opals are all perfectly matched, but they ARE all full of colour, some of the best I've seen (much better than in the picture). The only drawback is that...

Price Promise - It Doesn't Apply To Clearance Auctions

If this has changed recently, then I presume that any pieces bought prior to the change would still be subject to the Price Pledge under the original terms?

    Rocks & Co. Renaissance

CountessK, I would strongly advise that you consider a rainbow moonstone piece, if you are at all interested in that gemstone. Rainbow moonstone is my favourite gemstone and I have lots of it, and Rock's & Co's rainbow moonstone is the best you'll see anywhere. Unlike some gemstones (e.g...

    Elanza

Oh, crumbs - first base metals with real gemstones, now silver with fake gems! Do they somehow expect us to think it's 'real jewellery' if either the precious metal or the gemstones are real? Why not go the whole hog, with fake gems in base metal, and sell it as costume jewellery?
