    Alternate day fasting

One of the appealing things, to me, about this diet is that you don't have to keep thinking about food! I did Weight Watchers a while back and it worked, but eventually I just got bored of having to figure out what I could and couldn't eat and how much, and so I gave up and the weight slipped...

    Alternate day fasting

I am just starting on this much-publicised new diet, where you eat only a very small amount (approx. 400 calories) one day, and then eat what you like the next. I'm not normally one for 'fad' diets, but this one seems to have some sensible research behind it, and a friend is doing well on it and...

    Gems tv archive

I stuck with Gems in the old days because the prices were great and it was indeed very entertaining, but on reflection some of the designs were truly AWFUL. I wouldn't want those back, and I can understand why Gems can't go back to the cheap prices either, but it would be good if we could have...

    John Scott

Oh, John Scott is DEFINITELY the best presenter on any shopping telly channel! He comes over as a really lovely person, too. He ought to be cloned!

    The Don and Jerrilee Show......

OF COURSE it is all an act! I absolutely love Rocks & Co's designs - NOBODY does rainbow sapphires like them, not even the high-end jewellerys - and I buy from them quite a bit, but one thing they DON'T have is 'low prices'! (Even the silver clearance items weren't cheap when compared with...

Changes you would like to see in 2013

I think their jewellery has got very boring, especially at the lower end of the market. The prices are good, but the same designs keep cropping up again and a gain, with different gemstones. Also, they sometimes use odd combinations of gemstones that don't really look 'right' together (a bit...

A lof of the jewellery designs were pretty awful, though, weren't they...?

    Silver clearance is addictive!

I thought that, too, Phil. I'm pretty sure they often send unsold stuff over from their overseas channels, though; I have sometimes seen one-of-a-kind items from Juwelo reappear on Rocks & Co. Seems like a sensible business policy; no doubt they send unsold stuff from here over there, too.

    Silver clearance is addictive!

Why am I so addicted to the (mostly) silver clearance on at the moment? I know that, while the prices are fair and are a lot cheaper than the gold pieces, most of the prices aren't really objectively all that cheap compared with other channels that sell a lot of silver (including Rocks & Co's...

    TGGC Outlet channel

Steve Bennet is nothing if not flexible and, if something doesn't work, he changes it. I'd be surprised if TGGC Outlet in its present form was still here in six months' time; I'm sure there will still be a second channel, but it will have been rebranded in some way.

    TGGC Outlet channel

It's a bit tacky, isn't it? It also seems weird that there's no reference at all to it on Gems TV - no website link, nothing. The cynic in me is wondering whether this is a way of circumventing the Price Pledge! Does it still apply to items seen at a lower price on the Outlet channel?

    OMG Rainbow moonstone

Update: They have lots on the Rocks & Co website. (Worth 'phoning if you see something you like, though, since you'll probably be able to get it for the on-air price if that is cheaper.)

    OMG Rainbow moonstone

Actually I think rainbow moonstone on the whole looks better in white gold, because of the 'iciness' of it, but I just liked those particular designs. Jacqualina, you could contact the personal shopper and see what they have. (Unlike some other shopping channels, Rocks & Co will sell items off...

    OMG Rainbow moonstone

    OMG Rainbow moonstone

Just thought I'd take a moment to wax lyrical about my all-time favourite gemstone, since it's been back on air recently (and some lovely sparklies arrived at my door today). Rocks & Co's faceted rainbow moonstone is completely unlike anything you have ever seen anywhere else (except...

LOL--it's so often up to the ladies to make sure the chaps look respectable! You should e-mail Mrs Bennet directly - I think it's [email protected]

    No more "chat"?

Thanks for the shout-out today, John!!! See - I bought something because I was watching you (even if it was only a pair of silver earrings).

It's official: everyone on this Forum agrees that John Scott is the greatest!!

    No more "chat"?

Oh, good - that's a relief! I'm sorry I missed the shout-out. I watched the Rhonda Faber Green collection; lovely but really out of my price-range (and I think if I wanted designer jewellery I'd go to a designer store). It would have to be either rainbow moonstone or rainbow sapphires to...
