He said it and it's an old term for a chemist, if I recall.
Oh heck it ages me. When I was a child we had an apothecary near where I lived. It was run by two elderly sisters and I always remember it because it had two large apothecary jars in the front window, one red and one blue. Both the sisters were actually qualified chemists and dispensed prescription medicines.

They also used to make up medicines from all the different bottles on their shelves, there wasn’t much in the way of over counter medicines in those days. As this was in the 1950s and not long after the introduction of the NHS, i think people went to the chemists for cures. Both my parents could remember the days before the NHS when they had to pay to see the doctor if and when they could afford it.

I ordered one last night.

But those jars have been open about 5 times today so will be loose

only just tuned in so didn’t realise that it’d been on before. I suppose I’m used to seeing similar objects being demonstrated on QVC when they use new jars or cans each time.

Please let us know how you get on with it😊

It does actually sound better: apothecary. Sounds 'classy' ;)

Two hours of gardening with Julian Ballantyne on Sunday morning.
I was trying to work out when Julian Ballantyne left QVC - it must be getting on for ten years ago, same sort of time as Debbie Greenwood. Surprised he'd go somewhere as low rent as IW.

It's so ironic that the original presenter on IW - Shaun Ryan - is now a gardening guest on QVC and the original presenter on QVC - Julian Ballantyne - is now a gardening guest on IW! Selly telly is such a small little world where everyone just goes round and round spouting the same old bøllocks, just with a different background and phone number.

Didn’t he set up The Craft Channel with Debbie Greenwood when their contracts weren’t renewed with QVC. . It only lasted about a year before it went tits up. I think I remember reading that he’d set up a few enterprises that had all failed.

I think he, like Boring Bradford, have worked at a large number of different shopping channels.
