I'm guessing IW customers must be highly allergic to searching the internet for watches, only takes a few minutes to make big savings on the IW prices.

Never a need for a battery, never need serviced, never need to take the back off.
Never is a long time Kev, especially when there is a lithium rechargeable battery (Seiko TS920E) inside that movement.
And as Seiko say themselves.
"The capacity or recharging efficiency of a rechargeable battery may gradually deteriorate for various reasons, such as long-term use or usage conditions. Worn or contaminated mechanical parts or degraded oils may also shorten recharging cycles.
We recommend you have it serviced (overhauled) every 3 or 4 years in order to ensure it functions perfectly and will be able to be used for a long time.
An overhaul is like a health checkup for a watch. It is important to check inside the watch for retention of oil lubrication, looseness of screws, rust from dirt and sweat, and deterioration inside the case. By having an overhaul, dirt and sweat on an unseen part will be cleaned off, preventing a malfunction. In addition, any worn out parts and gaskets will be replaced to ensure that functions and water resistance works perfectly like a new watch."

Off topic but can also remember going to London with my grandma and aunty for the weekend when I was 8 years old and went to see the King and I musical with the great Yul Brynner. I fell asleep half way through! Would have loved to have been older and appreciate the experience

The low production values of IW never cease to amaze me. Couldn't even be arsed to take the keyboard stand off the mobile stand which they'd wheeled onto set, with loads of wires trailing untidily at the back. It's not a big thing, but it speaks to the general cheap and nasty approach, and disdain to the viewers.

That is their key issue - respect (or lack of it) for their audience. The same on TJC - not as bad from the bits I’ve seen. If it’s not a ‘those plebs don’t know what time of day it is’ view they take, then they have just employed the wrong calibre of staff to work for them. I take the former view.
