In the Salon with SBC TSV 26/11/24
last years similar set sold out very fast & was very popular with people wanting more like itAlison Young has just said the normal price for each set of three items is just under £50. Sorry, there's no way I'd pay that for 2 x 100mls and 1x 300mls of SBC products. They're ok but I think the asking price of £15 per set is about right imo. Not much of a TSV is it? Or am I getting stingey??
I'm sure that you are right SCW, I've used SBC products myself in the last and whilst they are ok I personally don't think that they could warrant the price Alison Young said. The propolis gel I used was fine as a moisturiser but it certainly didn't promote my skin to heal as expected from the product.last years similar set sold out very fast & was very popular with people wanting more like it
Agreed. I also like the Propolis - the shower gel smells gorgeous and the gel is really good for my husband's dry sensitive skin.I'm sure that you are right SCW, I've used SBC products myself in the last and whilst they are ok I personally don't think that they could warrant the price Alison Young said. They’re synthetic cosmetic dyes - the “Collagen” one is the same pink dye you get in cheap hair gels and the like. The colours of the products are strange. Bile, sludge, mustard, beetroot. They can't be natural colours. At least Molton Brown's colours are pretty but these are very unattractive and they come in huge one litre bottles.
Interesting comment. I was wondering about this. They’re synthetic cosmetic dyes - the “Collagen” one is the same pink dye you get in cheap hair gels and the like.
Maybe it smells nice but not much else. The BA certainly talks the talk. The argon interests me. Does it live up to her claims, I wonder. The collagen one will not go into the lower levels of your skin, the module is too big. So the crap they push for the facial skin care is rubbish.
I found it sticky as well.I used SBC once and found it sticky and didn't sink into the skin.
Yes she is. I’ve used SBC for over 20 years, mainly arnica . With Cleave now owning the brand I buy from another manufacturer. I suspect she’ll go down the Decleor/l’Oreal, Ojon/Estee Lauder route and use cheap ingredients.Isn't Abby Cleaves behind the brand now?
It was really downgraded some years back. The old BA very straight talking, and it was all Arnica, nothing added. Lavender and other old style homeopathic style formula. Not the push for skincare ideas
