I was in Tesco in Inverness in 2004, I think? I remember England were playing Turkey at Euro 2004. I must have passed twenty moving Turkish shirts when I was in there. But the shirts didn’t sound or look very Turkish!!
I think I saw you that day in Tesco's.

Were you the guy wearing the t-shirt that said 'I love Bid TV' on the front with a picture of Peter Simon on the back?

Peter V thinks he is the Tommy Walsh of IW, a DIY man for all seasons but without the skill, knowledge or cockney charm.

Not sure who IW's Charlie Dimmock would be. Sally has a similar figure (thesedays) or Peter S with a wig. Just call them Ground Farce.

If it were Hammy he would have been in hiking gear, possibly wearing a Tyrolean hat and a kilt. And with a walking stick bought from bid tv. Even 20 years ago he got a shout out from Peter Simon.

I have not been paying much attention to IW over the past 4 weeks. I glanced over and saw Peter wearing a baseball cap. Not another incident with his patio doors?
No, he is going through a phase, light coloured slim legged jeans, and varnished, possibly veneered nails. He thinks he looks younger, he just looks ridiculous

Oh no, not another going through a mid life crisis. The guy at the end of my row has started driving a subaru impreza wrx, prior to that he was driving a mini. I'm glad I didn't see those skinny jeans. I have a memory of my brother sitting in the bath with his shrink to fit jeans in the early to mid-80s.

Please bear the following in mind when IW presenters are shamelessly flogging 'health and beauty products:

Advertising Standards Authority - only those claims which are supported by the results of carefully controlled clinical trials would be allowed. (Code 50.1 says "Medical and scientific claims made about beauty and health-related products should be backed by evidence, where appropriate consisting of trials conducted on people".)

The above regulation is contravened time and again on this channel. You can't even say "it may help" because that constitutes a claim. I know as I was in herbals for many years and you have to be very careful how you describe a product.

I am waiting for the day when this shambolic lot are pulled up by the ASA or MRHA or Trading Standards and fined heavily or even closed down. They have the power to shut down web sites or any media which continues to flout the rules.

I regret I may be waiting a long time as Selly telly appears to be immune from the legislation everybody else has to obey.
