Similar, I got a 100ml bottle perfume, one 10ml bottle, a hand and body wash and a matching hand/body cream plus a lip gloss for £60. All my choices of which fragrances I wanted. And free p&p

You beat me to it, was just going to say it sounds a lot like Floral Street’s ‘Ylang Ylang Espresso’, which i actually really like!

Even Mugler’s Angel is a gourmand fragrance though it’s more chocolate and vanilla creaminess than coffee…

Yes, the Chanel bottle is iconic. Also, easy to hold in the hand.

I bought the Diptyque Café candle. Holy crap it smells like freshly ground coffee bean huge throw I could smell it in every room.

I bought Jasmine Sun Rose from Molton Brown sale. Now, jasmine and I are not best friends, it can go sharp on me. So on whim I tried it on a card and it is gorgeous. Bought the 100mls EDP and get no jasmine, but raspberry, patchouli and labdanum. It's gorgeous.

Has anyone smelt Tova signature? If you've got a can of Raid fly & wasp killer in the cupboard under the sink, use that instead 'cause it smells exactly the same and costs a whole lot less! I bought it some years ago and it was so vile I couldn't even bring myself around to using it as air freshener. The other perfume to avoid imvho is Prai Scent of a woman - I bought the trial size from Q because they made it sound so wonderful and it actually made me feel sick and headachy. I threw it in my work bag to use as a bog spray just in case 'cause the bottle is a handy size. Motsi Mabuse's wonderful fragrance never made a come back did it? I have stopped buying perfume "blind" now 'cause I'm usually disappointed!

I had a small spray of Tova perfume in a Tili bag. Can’t remember what it was called, but it smelled like I’d sprayed myself with furniture polish.

Many people did use to say it smelt like fly killer.

Yes I have used Tova signature perfume and just bought a new one. It's not heavy and lasts I also get compliments about it. It's good we all don't like the same thing how boring would life be?

Going back to this discussion of the new Shay & Blue perfume, White Orchid and Espresso, they have just sent an email with a 3x10ml offer for £45, plus postage. The WO&E is included in the choices available, if anyone fancies trying it in a smaller size than the 100ml.

Thanks, Mazza. They also have the Cedarwood Grapefruit which I don’t think I’ve tried so I could easily make up a trio.


In fact, I might have a think about the set of 5 x 10ml for £75 for free P&P (over £60). Whoops! Now look what you’ve started.


PS Has anyone tried the Lilacs & Gooseberries one? I’ve heard of it but pretty sure I haven’t smelt it.

I have just fetched a Lilacs and Gooseberries from the stash and tried it. For S&B it is quite floral (as the name would suggest, ) but not cloying. So a more modern lilac, but definitely lilac. I can’t get any gooseberry, unless that just cuts into the floral. I think it is nice, unlike the Clementine ones I opened the other day. This does not smell remotely of clementine or any citrus really that I can find, so am using these up pronto.

I didnt see the 5 pack one otherwise I guess I would have gone for that!

Thank you for that. Very useful. I don’t think it sounds like it’s for me as the gooseberry bit was what I thought would make it a bit brighter and fresher. At least I know. I definitely want to try the WOE and the CG mentioned so the question is shall I buy one more or theee more? I do have the gift vouchers I bought when the points scheme was ending.
